Existing cover · Review and have it looked after

Your existing international health insurance: does it still fit your life?

An existing policy is no automatic reason to switch, but it is a good occasion to look deliberately at your situation, terms and support.

By , advising for Verus Vorsorge GmbH (insurance broker licensed under § 34d (1) GewO)

Six reasons for a second look

  • 01 A new place of residence or another move is coming up.
  • 02 Your family has changed: partnership, children, planned children.
  • 03 New job or move into self-employment.
  • 04 Your premium has changed noticeably and you would like to understand why.
  • 05 You are unsure what your contract provides in a claim.
  • 06 You would like a personal point of contact.

How we proceed

  1. Update your situation

What has changed since the start of the contract, and what is planned?

  2. Read the terms in context

A price alone does not explain how a contract fits your situation today.

  3. Only then talk about change

Whether and which steps make sense is for you to decide after the assessment. A switch is not automatically better.

Questions about your own contract

You can already answer these questions for yourself with your documents. Whatever remains open, we clarify in the call.

Which area of cover is agreed, and does it fit your current travels and places of residence?
Own share

Billing
Is the practice or hospital billed directly, or do you submit invoices for reimbursement?
Limits
Which benefits are limited or excluded, and do you know why?
Germany

Transferring support: what a broker mandate means

With a broker mandate, you appoint an insurance broker to look after your contracts. Transferring support is not a plan switch.

Whether and how the support of your existing contract can be transferred, which conditions apply and what changes for you, we clarify before every step, per contract and insurer.
